Our Policies

Rules & Regulation of The Conservatory

It has been said that without rules, chaos reigns!  In our continuing effort to provide our customers with the highest quality, most proficient and well-organized school of music in our area, we have implemented the following policies and procedures to ensure a wonderful experience for everyone involved.

The Conservatory is an institution of higher learning, in which the classical method of music instruction (proven over decades and centuries) is emphasized.  As such, available lesson time slots are limited, and not all students will be accepted into our private lesson program.

If accepted, please understand that you are securing a lesson time slot, not a particular instructor.  ALL instructors who teach at The Conservatory are professionals and are very capable of teaching you or your child.  In the extremely rare instance that a particular instructor is no longer available, The Conservatory reserves the right to assign another professional instructor to your chosen time slot to continue with your lessons.

Any and all matters dealing with the conservatory shall be addressed with the front office, and not with the individual instructors.

Monthly Fees

Please contact us for our current tuition rate.

Our program fees are based on a monthly schedule (4 or 5-week months, 5th week is NOT optional), payable in advance. The Conservatory requires a two (2) month minimum for all lessons, payable at lesson sign-up.

There is a one-time registration fee of $35.00.

Please contact us for additional information regarding one-time consultation lessons and their respective fee.

Months are NOT prorated between September 1st – May 31st of any school year, with the exception of specific holidays.

Credit Cards

The Conservatory conducts business on a credit card authorization form, which is mandatory. Payments are automatically charged to the credit card on file at the last lesson of the current month. Receipts for the charges will be provided via email. A $25.00 late fee will be assessed for tuition charges received after the due date, in cases of NSF or declined credit card authorizations.

Withdrawals require a 30-day notice and the completion of our withdrawal form. Any withdrawal with less than the required notice, or conducted via telephone or email, will incur a forfeiture of the remaining tuition and a $35.00 drop fee.

Missed Lessons

Lesson attendance is critical to achieving maximum benefits of the lessons provided.  However, The Conservatory will allow a maximum of two (2), 1-hour Group Makeup Lessons per calendar year (September 1st – August 31st).  Please note that The Conservatory does not offer private makeup lessons, and does not offer makeup lessons for missed makeup lessons.    No refunds or credits for missed lessons will be provided.
